The James Dean Room is the room where James Dean actually stayed while portraying Jett Rink in the movie GIANT. This was to be James Dean’s last starring role. Dean was killed in a car accident shortly after leaving Marfa and before the movie was released in 1955.

“… this hotel is of historic interest, particularly to movie buffs.”

One of the smaller original historic rooms, still retaining the near original floor-plan as it did when Dean stayed here, this room has one queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress and an originally tiled European bath (shower only).

French doors have been added to this room, opening to a standing balcony on the north side of the hotel with a view toward the Presidio County Courthouse.

“… with lil’ black and white checked tiles in the bathroom and the original door knobs with key. A sort of classy old school Texas style …”

In-room amenities include ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, coffee pot, iron and ironing board, plush towels, Archive-brand toiletries and hair dryers. All guest rooms include complimentary bottled water. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

This smaller, second floor room will not accommodate a roll-away bed. There is not an elevator on the property.
